Changelog
MailTwin updates itself. When a new version drops, your Mac picks it up on the next Sparkle check (or hit Check for Updates… from the menubar to grab it now). What follows is what actually changed in each release — written for humans, not changelogs.
Build 57 · 3 May 2026
Wording polish.
- The Help section now says "no MailTwin server in the AI path" — matches the website's wording, and reads more cleanly than the legal-entity name.
Build 56 · 3 May 2026
Plumbing fixes.
- The 5-pack Buy button now actually leads to the 5-pack checkout (variant id corrected after we recreated the product in LemonSqueezy).
- Telemetry posts to the canonical
telemetry.mailtwin.aiinstead of the legacy domain. Same backend, cleaner brand surface — invisible if you're not opted in.
Build 55 · 3 May 2026
Apple Intelligence got smarter.
- Replies now match the email's language. Norwegian email in, Norwegian reply out — no more accidental English.
- The on-device model only sees the message you're replying to, not the whole quoted thread. Less noise, sharper replies.
Build 54 · 3 May 2026
Accessibility recovery.
- Stuck on the Accessibility step? A new "Reset & re-add" button in onboarding clears stale macOS permission entries and gets you running. (You only ever see this if macOS is actually being weird about it.)
Build 53 · 3 May 2026
Onboarding polish.
- Apple Intelligence now reads as the on-device option it is — no more Ollama instructions when you picked Apple.
- Signature auto-detect looks at your sent mail (the email you typed in the previous step), not whatever's lying around.
- "Index sent mail" now says "running in the background — you can keep going" instead of pretending to be stuck at 0 / 0.
- The action pills wrap to two readable rows when the panel is narrow, instead of squishing into unreadable blobs.
Build 52 · 3 May 2026
Mail AI is now MailTwin.
- New name, new domain (mailtwin.ai), same app on your Mac.
- Two pillars: pick any AI provider with your own key (no lock-in), and a separate writing voice learned per email account.
- Your indexed style profiles, saved settings, and crash logs migrate automatically on first launch — nothing for you to do.
Earlier builds
Pre-rebrand builds 1 to 51 were a private test track. The first public release is build 52 above. If you're curious about the development history, the Sparkle update feed carries the full technical changelog all the way back to build 17.
Want to be notified when a new build ships?
MailTwin auto-updates by default — open the app, click the menubar icon, and any new build shows up in the panel footer with a one-click install. If you'd rather hear it from us, drop a note to [email protected] and we'll add you to the (very low-volume) release-notes list.
